Youth of Unity

cartwheelThe Youth of Unity (Y.O.U.) for teens in grades 9-12 is a very active ministry. Teens gather on Sunday mornings to explore and discover spiritual truths and learn how they relate to their lives. In addition, the Unity Spiritual Center Y.O.U. chapter meets at other times to do service in their church community, have a social event, or attend regional or international events. They are eligible to attend regional and national Y.O.U. events. As a part of the Great Lakes Region, they have a regional fall retreat, a regional rally in June, and an eastern area event in the spring.

Y.O.U. activities include:

  • Service opportunities – in-reach within Unity Spiritual Center, and outreach to the greater community
  • Sunday leadership opportunities – participate in the Sunday worship service
  • Fundraisers for their Y.O.U. outings and retreats
  • The International Youth of Unity (IYOU)

Parental involvement — parents are invited to attend retreats and participate in the spiritual development of their preteens

Unity in the Heart of Teens

The International Youth of Unity (YOU) gathered at Unity Village, Missouri in July 2013, and a group made this video, which interpreted Unity’s teachings in a clever, unique way.
